A glass street that generates electric power

ArabiaWeather.com - Khitam Amer - The American electrical engineer, Scott Broseau, implements the idea of exploiting the streets and roads to generate electric power, and then the possibility of benefiting from the energy produced to charge electric cars, in addition to supplying the national grid in the United States of America with the necessary electricity.

According to Broseau, these streets will be made of reinforced glass instead of traditional asphalt or cement, as the solar cells under the surface of the glass street will act as a large solar energy generator, which will be used for many purposes, most notably the possibility of melting snow that accumulates on the streets during the winter season.

This will also reduce the risks of gases that cause global warming, or what is known as the greenhouse effect.
