يُذكر أن موازين الحرارة في المنطقة سجلت وصول درجة الحرارة نهاراً إلى 53.9 درجة مئوية في الظل ، و هي أعلى درجة حرارة مُسجلة في محطة جوية تابعة لمنظمة الأرصاد الجوية العالمية WMO  خلال شهر يونيو/حزيران ، و هي مُساوية لأعلى درجة حرارة مُسجلة في الظل منذ العام 1913 ، حيثُ سجلت الحرارة حينها نفس درجة الحرارة.
