Arab Weather - Hurricane Milton has returned to its maximum strength, becoming a Category 5 hurricane. Although its strength is expected to weaken before reaching land, its size will increase significantly, which means its catastrophic effects will affect a wider area. Over the past 24 hours, the tropical storm's winds have expanded from 80 miles to 140 miles from its center.
The hurricane is expected to make landfall Wednesday evening as at least a Category 3 hurricane along Florida's central Gulf Coast, making it one of the most destructive storms in history. The meteor's eye and eyewall are likely to hit the Tampa area, creating a massive storm surge, while tropical storm-force winds are expected to cover the entire width of the Florida peninsula.
Despite efforts to clean up the area after Hurricane Helene, piles of debris such as sheet metal, concrete blocks and large appliances remain in many neighborhoods. Officials fear that the debris could be turned into dangerous projectiles by Miaton's strong winds, which could pose a major threat to residents and homes.
