ArabiaWeather.com - A huge fire broke out at the main electricity distribution station in Al-Qurayyat Governorate, causing a power outage in the governorate, and plunged it into complete darkness.

The official spokesman for the Civil Defense in Al-Jouf region, Lieutenant Colonel "Atallah bin Qaran Al-Ruwaili," confirmed that a fire and rescue team from the Civil Defense Department in Al-Qurayyat Governorate, started at two o'clock this morning, Saturday, a fire accident in one of the breakers at the electricity distribution station in the governorate, the transfer station.

He added, "The squad worked to extinguish the burning part of the cutter using manual chemical extinguishers and to carry out the necessary ventilation to expel the smoke resulting from the ignition at the site."
