ArabiaWeather - The North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA) has announced the winners of the 2024 edition of its landmark exhibition, “NANPA Showcase.” The exhibition consists of 24 stunning winning images representing six different categories, showcasing some of the most beautiful nature images of the year.
The competition jury selected first place winners in each category, as well as first runner-up, and a pair of images were selected as a “Judges’ Choice” in each of the exhibition’s six categories: Birds, Mammals, Landscape, Changing Reality, Conservation, and Creatures. Wildlife, including marine creatures and other land creatures. The top winning images in each category are displayed below. Some photographers also provided additional information about the backgrounds and details of the moments in which the winning images were taken, and this information is included in the captions accompanying the images.

Denali National Park and Preserve, Alaska / A flock of Sandhill cranes heads south as a thick lenticular cloud hovers over the summit of Denali. This is one of the favorite aspects of visiting the park in the fall. Going out hiking in the tundra and hearing the calls of the Sandhill cranes as they pass overhead On its way south it is a calm and pleasant affair.

For a year and a half I took pictures of the moon during the pandemic and created this collection. In the midst of a period of isolation and uncertainty, the moon has become a comforting companion, reminding humanity that even in the darkest nights, there is a heavenly light guiding us toward brighter days.

Flying my drone over this landscape was one of the most amazing things I've done photographically. The soft early morning light added texture to the landscape. I played with the composition until I got a nice background.
