Weather of Arabia - The Kingdom is affected by a third-degree air depression that is superficially centered on Monday afternoon, northeast of the island of Cyprus, and is accompanied by a very cold air mass in all layers of the atmosphere, so that there is a sharp drop in temperatures and become less than their usual rates for this time of the year by about 6-8 degrees Celsius, and the weather is generally cold and stormy in most areas, and even very cold over the high mountainous heights.

And the Kingdom crosses a cold air front before noon, so that quantities of clouds multiply at different heights, and as a result, random showers of rain and hail are expected, God willing, in several areas of the Kingdom that are mixed with snow above the heights. It is also expected that showers of snow will fall over the high mountainous heights of more than 1,100 meters above sea level, and sometimes accumulate over areas above 1,300 meters above sea level, which include parts of the Sharah Mountains in the governorates of Tafila and Maan.

In the afternoon, chances of precipitation decrease temporarily and are intermittent, in preparation for the crossing of a new air front later, so that dusty, stormy and very cold weather prevail in this period with strong winds.

As of the afternoon hours, the northern and central regions of the Kingdom specifically cross a stronger air front in terms of precipitation, whereby the rains are regular and heavy at several times, accompanied by showers of hail that may be intense over the heights. The opportunity remains for snow showers to fall over the high mountainous heights that are more than 1100 meters above sea level, and sometimes accumulate over areas that are more than 1300 meters above sea level.

The wind is southwesterly, with active speed, and increases in speed with the passage of time, to later become strong in speed, accompanied by strong gusts of up to 100 km/h. On Monday, winds generally cause sandstorms from time to time in the desert areas of the south and east of the Kingdom.
