Weather of Arabia - The President of the University of Jordan, Dr. Nazir Obeidat, and the Executive Director of Arabia Weather, Muhammad Al-Shaker, signed today a memorandum of understanding and joint cooperation, in the presence of the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Dr. Safwan Al-Shayyab. According to the memorandum, academic cooperative activities of common interest will be developed in the scientific, research and training fields, and experiences related to climate science, meteorology and climate change will be exchanged, in addition to cooperation in developing courses and conducting studies and scientific research, and assistance in postgraduate theses related to meteorology, climate and change. Climate, also through the so-called "Meteo Weather", which is the special arm concerned with climate services and climate change affiliated with Arab Weather.

 

The memorandum also provides the possibility of cooperation in providing scientific data and references related to climate and climate change for researchers, exchanging scientific and academic visits, holding joint workshops, cooperation between the two parties to present climate agricultural recommendations via the university’s radio, and facilitating the participation of faculty and administrative staff members and students in specialized courses in the fields of Meteorology and climate change.

 

In this regard, Obeidat said that the "Arab Weather" company is one of the most developed companies in the world in the fields of climate and climate change, adding that the memorandum of understanding came as an embodiment of the university's vision to strengthen and activate the partnership with the Arab Weather Company in order to achieve fruitful cooperation in matters of Conducting scientific research centered on climate change, in order to exchange experiences and learn about the latest developments.

 

In turn, Al-Shaker expressed his appreciation to the University of Jordan for its great contribution to supplying the labor market with competencies and improving the reality of scientific research and development. He added that he is grateful today for signing this agreement with the university, which comes in the context of his vision and the vision of the company aimed at supporting the University of Jordan and its various colleges. And providing a mechanism for communication and interaction with the company in various possible fields of cooperation, in addition to its endeavor to inform the faculty and students of all that is new, especially with regard to climate and climate change in addition to entrepreneurship.
