Arabia Weather - Gatorland is celebrating a new, rare and exciting addition to its park, as the park announced on Thursday the birth of Leoste, a very rare female white crocodile, and the Gatorland Orlando Reserve reported that its length is 49 centimeters.
McHugh added that the new female blue-eyed alligator is the first ever recorded among those original alligators, and as for the white alligators, there are three other alligators among the seven remaining from the nest located in Gatorland.
He pointed out that albino crocodiles are one of the rarest genetic variants of the American crocodile, as they differ from albino crocodiles with pink eyes that completely lack pigment, according to Gatorland.
Therefore, visitors to the park will be able to see the white female crocodile and her normal-colored brother at the beginning of next year, with McHugh confirming that they are still receiving medical care and follow-up to ensure their safety and development.
Mark McHugh, President and CEO of Gatorland, said:
'This is more than 'rare', it is absolutely exceptional.' He added: 'These are incredibly special animals in the world of reptiles, and we are very careful about their safety and security, and we plan to display them early next year, so that guests can see them, learn about them and fall in love with them as we did. However, for now, we continue to keep them safe as we We can monitor their health and growth closely.'
