أخذت لجان تحري الهلال الرسمية أماكنها قبل قليل في 10 مواقع في السعودية وهي حوطة سدير وتمير وشقراء ومكة المكرمة والمدينة المنورة والرياض والظهران والقصيم وحائل وتبوك، بهدف تحري هلال شهر رمضان المُبارك لهذا العام 1439هـ/2018م، وبناءَ على المُشاهدة والرصد سيتم تحديد ما اذا كان يوم غدٍ الأربعاء هو أول أيام شهر رمضان المُبارك أم أن الخميس هو اول أيام الشهر الفضيل.
