Arab Weather - Jordanians are awaiting next Monday, as the government issued a statement suspending work on September 16, 2024, on the occasion of the anniversary of the Prophet’s birthday.
The statement stipulates that all ministries, official departments, institutions, public bodies, government universities, municipalities, joint service councils, the Greater Amman Municipality, and companies wholly owned by the government will be closed on Monday, the twelfth of Rabi’ al-Awwal 1446 AH, corresponding to September 16, 2024 AD. This decision comes in celebration of this great occasion.
Muslims celebrate on Monday the anniversary of the birth of the Prophet, which falls on the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal of every Hijri year.
Jordan participates with Arab and Islamic countries in celebrating the birth anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, which is a historical anniversary that transferred the Arab nation from a life of ignorance to a nation based on tolerance and coexistence.
The Prophet's birthday is considered the anniversary of the birth of the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace. Many Islamic countries celebrate this day by holding eulogies of the Prophet and religious events in mosques.
