Hunter's Moon draws attention around the world

<p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr">Arab Weather - Skywatchers around the world witnessed on Thursday, October 17, 2024, a magnificent display of the largest and brightest full moon of the year, known as the &quot;Giant Hunter&#39;s Moon&quot;. This amazing astronomical event caught the eye, as the sky was filled with a bright and eerie scene of the moon in full light, and the images captured of the moon showed an artistic diversity of its different aspects during this rare astronomical event.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-media-max-width="560" style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"><p lang="en" style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> If you look at the horizon at sunset tonight, you&#39;ll see the Hunter&#39;s Supermoon rising. This means that sometimes the moon is closest to the Earth, known as perigee, and other times it is farthest away, known as apogee. When perigee coincides with a full moon, we have what we call a supermoon.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> On October 17, the Hunter&#39;s Super Moon reached its closest point to Earth, coming in at just 357,174 kilometers away. In Geiberg, near Heidelberg in southwestern Germany, the moon was photographed between the branches of a tree by photographer Daniel Roland, giving the moon a majestic appearance. In Toronto, Ontario, photographer Mert Alber Dervis captured the supermoon as a helicopter passed over it, adding an extra dimension to its massive size.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> In New York, another stunning photo of the supermoon was captured near the iconic Chrysler Building, where the moon seemed to rule the sky next to it.
