Arab Weather - The latest outputs from the so-called computer simulation indicate a change in the shape of weather systems in the northern hemisphere, as the Azores high expands and penetrates further towards southwestern Europe and the Maghreb, causing a very cold polar air mass to rush towards central and southern Europe. In contrast, a strong high continues to dominate the eastern Mediterranean regions.
In detail, the huge Azores high is expanding towards the northeastern Atlantic waters, causing the polar jet stream to break and deepen further towards central and southern Europe. Data indicate that a very cold polar air mass is rushing towards France, Italy and neighboring countries.
This weather situation results in the formation of a deep low pressure system accompanied by strong winds reaching speeds of about 120 km/h, which leads to rough seas. The low pressure system is also expected to be accompanied by heavy snowfall in many areas, with great thickness, as a result of the severe cooling of the polar air mass, with heavy rain falling in areas low below sea level, where temperatures drop to several degrees below zero Celsius.
In contrast, the countries of the eastern Mediterranean basin and the Arabian Peninsula remain far from the air depressions, as the blocking pattern that dominates the region continues, with a strong high air centered above it. Forecasts also indicate that storms are active in the North Atlantic and are working to pull cold air masses and gather them in high latitudes.
As for the Siberian high, it may extend towards southern and eastern Asia, acting as a barrier system to the advance of cold air masses that cause depressions when they reach the warmer water surface.
And God knows best.
