• Harmonic fog : It is a fog resulting from the horizontal movement of hot, humid air over a cooler surface, where the surface temperature is less than the dew point temperature of the air moving above it.

• Valley fog : It forms when cold air descends from the mountain slopes towards the valleys during the awakening nights, provided the humidity levels are high in the valleys.

Front fog : occurs when cold fronts are weak, when the air is saturated with moisture.

• Smog : It is formed in industrial cities as a result of combining smoke from industrial activities with fog.

• Ice fog (freezing): This occurs when the fog is formed and the air temperature drops below the freezing point, then the water droplets that make up the fog turn into ice.
