After the Wasm ends, the “Al-Mubarqaniyah” season comes, which lasts for about 39 to 40 days, during which the weather gradually begins to cool, and the cold intensifies at the end and the nights become longer.

Signs of the start of the Wasm season

There are several clear signs of the onset of Wasm, including migratory birds crossing the skies of the Arabian Peninsula, and the harvesting of Sidr honey. Cloud movement during this period is from west to east due to the western jet stream, and temperatures moderate at night as a result of the apparent movement of the sun towards the south, in addition to the appearance of medium dust waves due to the upper depressions affecting the region.

Seasonal diseases and weather activity

Some seasonal diseases, such as influenza, are active during this season, due to the large differences in temperatures between the warm day and the cold night.
