The governor explained that the decision came with the aim of enabling the executive bodies to drain all the unexpected heavy rainwater accumulations that the governorate witnessed today, which exceeded the capacity of the sewage networks.

The governor directed the Directorate of Education in Alexandria to alert the regular attendance of teachers in schools and all employees of the Directorate of Education, in order to equip schools and ensure that there are no obstacles impeding the progress of the educational process for the next school day.

The Alexandria Governorate appealed to citizens to be careful and take all necessary measures, reduce movement in private cars, and not park on rainforests, in order to allow sewage cars to move easily to lift and remove all effects caused by the unexpected bad weather wave.

The bad weather continued to hit different parts of Alexandria this morning, Monday, accompanied by heavy thunderstorms, northwesterly winds and a noticeable drop in temperatures.
