The Swiss city of Murten... an opportunity between nature and history

With the presence of that castle built by "Peter of Savoy", which dates back to the 13th century AD, the city of Morten is famous for a number of historical walls that date back to the Middle Ages and had a major role during successive wars, and the visitor can climb to some of those walls to get wonderful views of the city. At the end of the northeastern part of the city is the Bern Gate, which is a fine example of modern Baroque architecture.
