Arab Weather - The head of the Jordanian Seismological Observatory, Engineer Ghassan Sweidan, stated that the earthquake felt by the residents of northern Jordan was shallow in depth and is considered a felt earthquake, but its epicenter was far away, and therefore does not pose a major concern for Jordanians.

Suwaidan explained that the northern Syrian region was exposed to an aftershock measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale, at 12:30 am Amman time, at a depth of 10 kilometers.

He pointed out that the same area witnessed two earthquakes on Monday evening, the first occurring at 9:30 pm Amman time with a magnitude of 3.9 on the Richter scale, followed by a stronger earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 on the Richter scale at 11:55 pm, at a depth of 10 kilometers.
