General information about Australia's devastating fires

Arab Weather - Australia welcomed the new year 2020 with one of the largest natural disasters in the world, since the constant forest fires from September 2019 until the present time destroyed huge areas of its forests and killed millions of its living creatures.

But what is striking about the matter is the intensification of fires from last November until the beginning of the new year, due to a wave of drought in Australia, which made the current fires record a historical figure in size and area.

According to the latest reports on the size of the losses caused by the fires, the fire destroyed more than 60,000 square kilometers of forests, killed twenty people, in addition to the deaths of about 500 million animals and the evacuation of tens of thousands of their homes .

The main cause of these damages is the high temperature, dryness of the land and trees, while the winds ignite the fire as a result of friction between the dry trees and the emergence of the first spark of fires.
