وكان المُصور يعمل على توثيق الأمطار الغزيرة التي تساقطت على منطقة الطائف نتيجة تأثرها بحالة من عدم الإستقرار الجوي، عندما ضربت صاعقة رعدية على نحوٍ مُفاجئ إحدى أعمدة الإنارة، متبوعة بصوت إنفجارٍ هائل وتطاير للشرر.

 

وكانت منطقة الطائف وعُموم المناطق المُحاذية لسلسلة الجبال الغربية و الجنوبية الغربية لمنطقة الطائف قد تأثرت السبت بحالة من عدم الإستقرار الجوي نشأت عنها تشكيلات من السُحب الركامية الرعدية عملت على تساقط الأمطار.
