Arab Weather - Water and Irrigation said that the quantities of water during the first rainy weather event affected the Kingdom, supplying the dams with about (1) million m3 of rain and the flow of valleys until Sunday morning (November 21) in the main dams, indicating that the volume of rain falling from the beginning of the season amounted to ( 2.2%) of the general annual rate and that the flow in valleys and torrents needs between 24-48 hours to reach the dams.
The ministry called on citizens to take advantage of and store all rainfall In all the facilities available for use in all uses in order to achieve national aspirations in enhancing national water security, as well as not dumping waste and waste into valley streams in order to preserve surface and ground water and to ensure that rainwater gutters are not connected to sewage networks.
She pointed out that the highest amounts of rain that fell on the Kingdom were recorded by the Ajloun/Arhab governorate (23.4 mm) during the past 24 hours, with an overall average for the governorate (14.4 mm), while Amman recorded 2.6 mm, Balqa 7 mm, Madaba 0.3 mm, Zarqa 0.8 mm, Jerash 6.9 mm and Mafraq. 0.2 mm, Irbid 6.5 mm, Karak 0.1 mm, Tafila 0.4 mm, Ma’an 0.3 mm, and Aqaba 0 mm, she added, adding that the highest rate of entry of quantities of rain water was recorded by the Mujib Dam during the past hours, which amounted to (65) thousand m3, King Talal Dam (60) thousand m3 and the Arab Dam (19) ) thousand m3 and the unit dam (110) thousand cubic meters.
