موقع"طقس العرب"الإلكتروني-ضربت موجة قوية من الأمطار و الفياضانات مناطق متعددة في بريطانيا مما تسبب في نزوح مئات الاشخاص من منازلهم إلى ملاجئ مؤقتة إضافة إلى خسائر كبيرة في المُمتلكات لدى البعض،في حين لقي شخصٌ حتفهُ بعدما حاصرت مياه الفيضان سيارته أسفل جسرٍ في جنوب غرب انكلترا.

 

كميات الأمطار الهاطلة على مدى أيام تجاوزت الـ100 مليمتر في أجزاء واسعة،وسط هبوب رياح عاتية كسّرت أغصان الأشجار و خلعت بعضها من الأرض و هيّجت المُحيط بأمواجه على السواحل،كما تسببت الرياح العاتية في انقطاع التيار الكهربائى في ويلز، حيث يعيش نحو ثلاثة آلاف شخص حاليا بدون طاقة كهربائية.
