New Delhi: The government decides to extend the closure of schools until November 10 due to air pollution

Weather of Arabia - The President of India, Draupadi Murmu, stated today, Sunday, the necessity of switching to consuming healthy foods that do not contribute to exacerbating the problem of climate change and staying away from those foods that negatively affect the environment. These statements came during the closing session of an international conference on the impact of foods on climate change, which was held in New Delhi under the title “World Food - India”, from the third to the fifth of this November.

The Press Trust of India reported that Murmu said: “We have to take into account the environmental impact of the foods we eat, and previous generations did not have to worry much about this.”

In the same context, the Delhi government decided to extend the closure of schools for the first stages until the fifth stage, due to severe air pollution in the capital, New Delhi, until the tenth of this November. She explained that the closure of schools will not apply to levels higher than the fifth grade, but it will provide the option of distance education for these students if they wish.

It should be noted that the Delhi government had previously announced the closure of schools for lower grades until today, but the worsening air pollution problem prompted the authorities to extend the closure period.
