Weather of Arabia - Local media reported that a new earthquake struck the Palestinian territories on Wednesday evening, and was felt by the residents of the West Bank.
For his part, Director of the Palestinian Disaster Reduction and Planning Center, Dr. Jalal Al-Dabbeek, commented, "The recent earthquake is a weak earthquake, with a magnitude of 3.5 on the Richter scale, and that the epicenter of the tremor is southeast of Nablus.
On Tuesday, the Palestinian Territories recorded a slight earthquake measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale, at a depth of 10 km underground, at 32.15 north latitude and 35.32 east longitude, according to the Palestinian Seismological Center at An-Najah University.
The Palestinians in Nablus and its environs in the northern West Bank felt an earthquake at about fifteen past eleven, before midnight last night, while the Seismological Observatory at An-Najah National University confirmed that the matter is normal and that it records dozens of tremors that the citizens do not feel.
It is noteworthy that the earthquake last night was not an aftershock resulting from the devastating earthquake in southern Turkey and northern Syria, but its depth close to the earth's surface and the location of its epicenter near residential areas contributed to the citizens feeling it.
