Arab Weather - Last Friday evening , a “severe” solar storm hit the Earth, the first of its kind since 2003, as its picturesque polar lights illuminated the skies of many countries of the world, while the US Oceanic and Atmospheric Monitoring Agency (NOAA) announced that the geomagnetic storm was caused by The arrival of a coronal mass ejection series from the Sun at Earth is level 5 on a 5-point scale, which is described as "severe".

The agency explained that this phenomenon may affect many technologies, such as the Global Positioning System (GPS), power grids, spacecraft, satellite navigation, Internet networks, and others. Is this severe solar storm over?

It is noteworthy that the Earth has been witnessing less severe magnetic storms since the morning, whose strength ranged between G1 and G2, and an increase in activity is not currently expected.
