Arab Weather - The device used to measure atmospheric pressure is called a barometer. There are two main types of barometers:

Mercury barometer: It uses a glass tube filled with mercury, and relies on the height of the mercury column to measure atmospheric pressure. The higher the atmospheric pressure, the higher the mercury level in the tube, and vice versa.

Metallic (or non-mercury) barometer: Uses a flexible metal canister called an aneroid canister, which contracts or expands based on changes in atmospheric pressure. These changes are converted into readings displayed on the dial.

Barometers are commonly used in meteorology to predict changes in the weather.
