10 countries were hit by floods in just 12 days of September

Arabia Weather - This September, specifically during the first half of it, we witnessed the worsening of devastating floods in ten countries from around the world as a result of the harsh climate changes early this month. These floods began in Hong Kong and spread to Libya, passing through a number of countries in Europe and Asia.

According to environmental specialists, the main cause of these severe floods may be rising temperatures caused by climate change, in addition to other environmental factors that play an important role in these phenomena.

• At the beginning of September, a severe typhoon swept through Hong Kong , uprooting trees and flooding the city.
• Storm Daniel struck large areas of the Mediterranean region, as a result of a very strong low pressure system, and included parts of Turkey, Greece, and Libya , the latter of which had the lion's share of its damage.
• Asia has also seen unprecedented and deadly storms, with Typhoons Hamsaula and Haikoi hitting the region within days of each other during the first week of September, causing widespread damage on the island of Taiwan and the city of Hong Kong.
• Brazil recorded more than 30 deaths last week after heavy rains and floods in the state of Rio Grande do Sul , the worst natural disaster to hit the state in 40 years.
• In the United States, the Burning Man festival made international headlines after a heavy rainstorm hit the region, with tens of thousands of attendees asked to conserve food and water while they were stranded in the Nevada desert.
