The ministry stated that the most famous migratory birds threatened with extinction are the moonbird and the houbara bustard, and the migratory birds registered in the Kingdom include: European beaver, night heron, pink flamingo, and green dove.

The Jazan region is characterized by an important geographical location, which made it one of the well-known stations in the world recorded for the landing of many types of migratory birds.

The plains of Jazan and its coasts witness the landing of many flocks of rare bird species that have been found in agricultural areas and islands as a temporary home for them, in addition to Wadi Dahn and the eastern forests, Wadi Lajab and the Bani Malik mountains, which are a natural environment for the settlement and migration of birds, and the building of their nests and reproduction, as it is distinguished by its abundance of trees and heights. while the flow of the valleys helped in its saturation and growth.
