10,000 tents for displaced people in Gaza damaged by rain and wind

Arab Weather - The government media office in Gaza announced that 10,000 tents were damaged in the past two days due to the expansion of sea waves resulting from the recent weather conditions that affected them. He explained that field assessment teams confirmed that 81% of the displaced people's tents became unusable after being damaged, noting that 110,000 tents out of a total of 135,000 need immediate replacement due to their complete deterioration and the increasing impact of air depressions and sea waves.

Serious humanitarian disaster as winter sets in in Gaza

The office added that the Gaza Strip is facing a serious humanitarian disaster with the onset of winter, which threatens two million people with losing their shelter due to the deterioration of the condition of the displaced people's tents, in addition to the continued closure of the crossings and the Israeli occupation preventing the entry of 250,000 tents and caravans into the Strip.

The office called on the international community and humanitarian and relief organizations to take urgent action to provide the necessary and immediate assistance to two million displaced persons living in tragic conditions.
