Weather of Arabia - At least 11 people were killed and 27 others were missing in floods and heavy rains in and around Beijing, the capital, since last Saturday, as a result of the heavy rains that accompanied Hurricane "Duxori".
According to local sources, the typhoon, which later receded to the level of the storm, killed at least 11 people, while 27 were considered missing in many areas, including the capital, Beijing, and the death toll is still expected to rise as the search for missing persons continues.
And the Beijing Flood Control Department announced the relocation of more than 52,000 people affected by floods throughout the capital, and the closure of about 100 mountain roads. More than 200 flights were also canceled and nearly 600 flights delayed at the capital's two airports.
In the same context, Chinese President Xi Jinping stressed that his country is going through a critical stage of flood control, pointing to the need for departments in various regions to strengthen their responsibilities in monitoring and early warning.
