13 deaths and 95 cases of hemorrhagic fever were recorded in Iraq

Weather of Arabia - The Iraqi Ministry of Health revealed that hemorrhagic fever infections in the country had increased by 95, including 13 deaths, since the beginning of this year.

The hemorrhagic fever virus is a serious viral disease that causes internal and external bleeding, which leads to serious disorders in the functions of vital organs and may lead to death.

Hemorrhagic fever is transmitted from human to human through the bite of infected mosquitoes. However, it can be said that there are several basic ways of transmission of hemorrhagic fever, which are as follows:

• Biting infected mosquitoes: This is the main route of transmission of hemorrhagic fever, as mosquitoes bite an infected person and transmit the virus to a healthy person upon the next bite.
• Contact with contaminated bodily fluids: Hemorrhagic fever can be transmitted when a healthy person comes into contact with the bodily fluids of an infected person, such as blood, saliva, urine, or sweat.
• Direct contact: The virus may be transmitted through direct contact with a person with hemorrhagic fever and skin contact.
• Contact with contaminated medical tools: Hemorrhagic fever can be transmitted when using contaminated medical tools, such as needles, tweezers, or a knife.
• Transmission through food sources: The virus may be transmitted when eating foods that are contaminated with the virus, but this method is rare.

Therefore, attention should be paid to these methods of preventing hemorrhagic fever, by taking the necessary measures to avoid mosquito bites, avoiding picking up objects that touch the bodily fluids of infected people, avoiding direct contact with infected people, and adhering to personal hygiene and disinfection of medical tools and tools used in treatment.
