3 countries announce the formation of a “Troika” for the climate... including the UAE

Weather of Arabia - 3 countries - the UAE, Azerbaijan, and Brazil - which have hosted or are preparing to host the United Nations climate talks, announced the formation of a “troika” in order to push for an international agreement to keep global warming at 1.5 degrees Celsius.

“ The Troika helps ensure that we have the necessary cooperation and continuity to keep the North Star of 1.5 degrees Celsius on the horizon from Baku to Belem and beyond,” said Sultan Al Jaber, head of the COP28 summit.

The Troika is a political term that refers to the meeting of three countries on one political opinion regarding a specific issue.
