3 successive earthquakes hit Türkiye at dawn on Wednesday

Weather of Arabia - The Kozan region in Adana, central Turkey, witnessed at dawn today, Wednesday, three successive earthquakes measuring 4.6, 4.5, and 4 degrees on the Richter scale.

According to the information contained on the website of the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD), the first earthquake with a magnitude of 4.6 was recorded at 05:32 local time, and its epicenter was in the city of Kozan at a depth of 7.6 kilometers. One minute later, another 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck the same place at a depth of 7 kilometers. Then a third earthquake with a magnitude of 4 followed at 05:34.

The Turkish Minister of the Interior, Ali Yerli Kaya, announced that the teams are continuing field surveys, stressing that they have not encountered any negative situations so far.

In a related context, the Jordanian Seismic Observatory recorded an earthquake measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale on Tuesday evening off the coast of Haifa in western occupied Palestine. The earthquake occurred at 20:27 Jordan time, with latitude 32.5728 and longitude 34.8166.
