Immediately after receiving the communication, specialized teams from the Tourism and Antiquities Authority moved to the site to inspect it. The electronic newspaper “Sabq” went to the site and met the specialized team for search and excavation operations, where the team’s spokesman indicated that the authority responded directly to the citizen’s call and after the site was revealed, it was found that it is an ancient tomb. The team indicated that the excavations are still ongoing, and that many pottery pieces that date back to the first millennium BC have been discovered so far.

The team also revealed that human skeletal remains were found buried in this cemetery, and the specialized teams are currently working on studying the bones, and they confirmed that the cemetery was excavated hundreds of years ago, adding that the exact chronological age of the burials cannot be determined until after Completion of excavations.
