A cold air mass will affect the Arabian Gulf at the beginning of 2025

Arab Weather - Weather experts at the Arab Weather Regional Center said that the latest data from what is called computer simulation indicates that the Gulf countries will be affected by a cold air mass at the end of this year, starting from northern Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, and gradually extending at the beginning of next year towards the rest of the regions, accompanied by a decrease in temperatures and a noticeable increase in wind speed.

Cold air mass begins to affect Saudi Arabia and extends towards Kuwait

God willing, it is expected that Saudi Arabia will be affected in the coming days by a cold air mass, so there will be a noticeable drop in temperatures and the weather will become cold in all northern regions of Saudi Arabia during the daytime hours and tend to be cold in the central and western regions, and the temperature differences between the north of the Arabian Peninsula and the rest of the regions will become large, which will cause a noticeable activity in the speed of the northwestern winds during the passage of the cold air mass, which will lead to the stirring up of dust and dirt with varying intensity.

The effect of the cold air mass extends towards Kuwait at the beginning of next year, as temperatures drop significantly and the temperature differences between day and night become around 10 degrees Celsius, and clouds increase as the weather turns from partly cloudy to cloudy and the northwesterly winds become active, with the need to wear warmer clothes.

Gradual extension of the cold air mass towards the rest of the Arabian Gulf countries at the beginning of next year

By the end of this week, which coincides with the beginning of next year, the effect of the cold mass extends to the rest of the Arabian Gulf regions, especially Qatar, Bahrain, eastern Saudi Arabia, reaching the Emirates and northern Oman, which is accompanied by cold, dry, and active winds that noticeably increase the feeling of coldness, and the sea in the Arabian Gulf becomes turbulent, so that the wave height in the depths reaches more than one and a half to two meters, so it is recommended to avoid sailing in small-sized boats, especially in the depths of the Arabian Gulf.

Low clouds will increase over parts of the northern Emirates, which may be accompanied by showers of rain in limited areas, especially on Thursday and Friday.

Night temperatures also drop, making the atmosphere cold, especially during the dawn and early morning hours in inland areas far from marine influences, while they are higher in coastal areas with the appearance of low clouds. It is also recommended to wear warm clothes, especially during the early morning and night hours.
