Arab Weather - According to the latest computer simulation data, several Arab countries are expected to be affected by a Khamaseen depression, God willing. This depression will bring a rise in temperatures, strong winds, and increased dust concentrations in the atmosphere, followed by a significant drop in temperatures over the following days.
In detail, according to the analyses of weather forecasters at "Arab Weather", a Khamaseen low pressure system was observed (at the time of preparing the report) centered over Libyan territory. It may have formed earlier on Sunday in the African desert. The low pressure system is expected to move towards Egypt and the Levant on Tuesday, causing active winds and dense dust waves. Temperatures will also rise significantly across the region, becoming several degrees Celsius higher than usual, amid hot weather in Egypt and relatively hot weather in the Levant and major cities.
According to reports issued by the Arab Weather Center, the Khamaseen depression is expected to move towards Iraq on Wednesday, accompanied by the same hot, dry, and dusty weather conditions. Meanwhile, the cooler part of this Khamaseen depression will begin to enter the atmosphere of the Levant and Egypt, where temperatures will drop significantly and humidity levels will rise, leading to spring-like conditions, God willing, on Wednesday.
God willing, the Khamaseen weather conditions are expected to be followed by a relatively cold and humid air mass affecting the Levant, which will drop temperatures to winter levels, especially in the evening and night hours, with the appearance of low clouds that may lead to rain showers in some areas, especially coastal ones.
As for Iraq and Egypt, the effects of the relatively cold air mass will be less pronounced, with a noticeable drop in temperatures and moderate to warm weather during the day, with a tendency to cool down during the night, God willing.
Beware of high levels of dust in the air and its effects on eye and respiratory patients. It is recommended to keep windows tightly closed and avoid exposure to dusty winds.
Beware of low and possibly no horizontal visibility, especially in desert areas.
Avoid direct and prolonged exposure to sunlight in all areas, especially during the afternoon and evening hours on Tuesday.
Beware of the sharp temperature differences expected between the middle and end of the week.
And God knows best.
