ArabiaWeather.com- The United Nations issued a report referring to the climate changes facing the world, warning of its negative effects on human life directly through its impact on food security, high prices, displacement and migration movements, in addition to natural disasters that led to the death of hundreds.
The report pointed out that the negative effects of climate change were very clear in recent years, pointing to deaths since 2002 due to natural disasters such as floods in Pakistan, forest fires in Australia and heat waves that swept Europe.
The report indicated that the percentage of agricultural crops in the world decreased due to climate changes, especially wheat crops, which raised concerns about food security due to the increasing population growth in various parts of the world.
The decrease in the proportion of agricultural crops led to a rise in the prices of many foodstuffs and the migration of many from the countryside to the cities, which means a high rate of population crowding in cities . to 60%.
In its report, the United Nations called for greater efforts by countries to control the factors that lead to such climate changes (Sky News Arabia).
