ArabiaWeather.com - A Saudi trainee at the Technical College in Dammam invented an ambulance capable of flying, and aims to evacuate patients in narrow places that are difficult for conventional ambulances and helicopters to reach.
Abdul Karim Al-Mughirah says that his idea is applicable in other countries, but it has not been fully implemented, and that he is keen to reach the final stages with his invention and start from where others left off. Al-Mughirah explained that the flying ambulance is a small car with an area of 3 to 5 meters, and it accommodates only two people, namely the driver. And the patient only, and the car is equipped to land in narrow places where it is difficult for cars to move, and it is able to rise vertically, and this is what distinguishes it.
Abdulkarim Al-Mughira also indicated that the invention is in the simulation stage through a miniature model, and he did not display it in any exhibition before it went out to the people, because the real model needs many techniques, equipment and experiments that cannot be done currently, and the size of the simulation model is from 80 cm to 3 meters.
Al-Mughira said: "We want to conduct the necessary experiments and see what problems we will face in order to benefit from them. We also seek to develop the idea in order to reach financiers to adopt it and produce it commercially in order to ensure its continuity and benefit from it as required."
Pointing out that the development process will focus on the external shape, fans, patient mounting method, height and tracks, in addition to the internal equipment (MBC.net)
