Arab Weather - The Kingdom has been affected for several days by a very cold air mass of polar origin that has been stationed over the region for several days and brought unusual weather and very low temperatures. The results of the computer simulation developed at the Arab Weather Center, which monitors the movements of air masses, indicate that the very cold air mass will begin to gradually and slowly withdraw from the region's atmosphere starting from Wednesday and during the weekend, with the atmosphere remaining cold during the day and very cold at night.
During the coming night, Tuesday/Wednesday night, the weather is expected to remain very cold in different areas of the Kingdom, with temperatures around zero degrees Celsius in several parts of the Kingdom and perhaps lower during the late night hours and Wednesday morning, especially over the Shara Mountains, the Badia regions, and parts of the eastern plains, with the appearance of high clouds. As temperatures drop to around zero degrees Celsius, freezing is likely to occur, especially in areas of water accumulation, grassy areas, and vehicle structures, and the winds will be southeasterly, light to moderate in speed.
Recommendations for tonight and expected minimum temperatures:
Meteorologists at the Arab Weather Center said that the extremely cold wave will begin to gradually recede from the Kingdom on Wednesday. During the early morning hours, extremely cold weather will prevail with the possibility of freezing.
As for the rest of the day, temperatures tend to rise slightly, remaining 3-5 degrees Celsius lower than their average for this time of year. The weather is less cold compared to previous days, but the weather remains generally cold with maximum temperatures ranging from 9 to 11 °C in the capital Amman, while it is relatively cold in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, with the appearance of medium and high clouds, especially in the south and east of the Kingdom, and the winds are northeasterly and moderate in speed.
During the hours of Wednesday/Thursday night, the weather will continue to be very cold, with temperatures approaching zero degrees Celsius, especially in the eastern plains and the peaks of the southern highlands, and the winds will be light to moderate northeasterly.
Recommendations for that night:
Temperatures continue to rise, and will be lower than average by about two degrees Celsius on Thursday and Friday, and maximum temperatures will be around 11-12°C in the capital Amman during the day, and the weather will be relatively cold to cold and mostly sunny in all areas, while it will be pleasant in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, and the winds will be easterly, light to moderate in speed.
During the weekend nights, the weather will be cold to very cold with scattered clouds, with the possibility of frost formation, especially in the desert areas and eastern plains.
God knows best.
