A very rare clip of the violent cyclone that hit Al-Qassim in 2000

ArabiaWeather.com- A special day that will remain engraved in the memory of the photographer, 11-17-2000 AD, the day when the Kingdom's lands witnessed one of the strongest and rarest hurricanes recorded throughout modern history, as a very rare tornado hit the western parts of the Qassim region, captured by the photographer Saleh warlike.

Returning to the archive maps, we find that the tornado was formed as a result of severe air disturbances in the layers as a result of the eruption of the Red Sea depression from the south and its confluence with another depression that extends in the upper and middle layers of the atmosphere over the Levant and extends to the north of Saudi Arabia.

As a result, a strong state of atmospheric instability was formed, as thunderstorm clouds multiplied, and strong thunderstorms began to hit the region, and soon it developed into a larger shape to turn into a strong and rare repressive hurricane.
