Arab Weather - Meteorologists at the Arab Weather Center said that the latest computer map readings indicate that Iraq will be affected on Tuesday by a cold air mass accompanied by a cold and rainy low pressure system. Its effects will be concentrated in the northern regions, while dusty weather conditions of varying intensity will prevail in the rest of the country, particularly in the west and center of the country.
As the night hours of Monday into Tuesday roll in, the low pressure system will move away from Iraq, followed by a cold air mass coming from the eastern Mediterranean basin. As a result, temperatures will drop significantly, starting from the western regions and extending throughout the country during the late night and early morning hours. The weather will turn generally cold, while remaining dusty with varying intensity.
The impact of the atmospheric instability is increasing as it centers in the north of the country. Consequently, the weather will be variable, ranging from partly cloudy to mostly cloudy. Thunderstorms will fall in several areas, sometimes heavy and accompanied by hail. Winds will be moderate in speed, sometimes brisk.
On Tuesday, April 15, 2025, temperatures will drop sharply and significantly, becoming cooler than usual for this time of year by about 8 to 10 degrees Celsius. The northern and western regions will be affected by a cold air mass accompanied by a low-pressure system. Cold, changeable winter weather will prevail, ranging from partly cloudy to mostly cloudy, with intermittent rainfall, sometimes heavy and accompanied by thunderstorms and hail.
In the central and southern parts of the country, the weather will be cooler but still heavily dusty. Active westerly to southwesterly winds will blow, stirring up dense dust waves and reducing or even eliminating horizontal visibility, especially in the central regions, including the capital, Baghdad.
And God knows best.
