Arab Weather - Weather experts at the Arab Weather Regional Center are following up on the latest indications of advanced computer outputs about the impact of severe weather disturbances on large areas of northern and western Europe during the rest of the week. As a result, the disturbances will be active in several countries of the European continent, accompanied by very heavy rains, strong hailstorms, and snowfall.
Specialists at the Arab Weather Regional Center explained that as a result of a polar air mass rushing directly towards the northwest of the European continent and the warmer ocean waters, this interaction between the cold air and the warm and humid weather systems in the ocean led to the emergence of a deep air depression, which developed into a strong storm with low air pressure values reaching 956 millibars.
Due to the expansion of the Azores High, a very cold air mass branches out, producing a new storm heading towards western Europe and deepening in those regions to cover a huge area including 7 European countries: Ireland, Britain, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, and Germany, causing weather disturbances that will last for several days.
These Atlantic storms are accompanied by huge cold fronts that lead to strong winds and rough waves, with heavy rains in coastal areas and heavy snowfall in the rest of the regions. Temperatures are expected to drop below zero in several areas, where very cold weather prevails.
With the collapse of atmospheric pressure at the center of the storm, experts at the Arab Weather Center said that the phenomenon of "explosive cyclogenesis" or bomb cyclone was prominent in the storm, which is a weather phenomenon that results in a collapse in atmospheric pressure values to reach values similar to the atmospheric pressure values in tropical storms and hurricanes, but outside the tropical region. The storms that arise from this phenomenon do not acquire any tropical characteristics.
A bomb cyclone occurs when a cold air mass meets a warm, moist one, causing a drop in air pressure of 24 millibars in 24 hours. This type of weather phenomenon is most common in the North Atlantic Ocean.
God knows best.
