After the increase in Corona injuries in Jordan, the Epidemiological Committee talks about the return of distance education, closures and curfews

Arab Weather - Dr. Dirar Balawi, professor of infectious diseases and clinical treatment, said that the Kingdom has actually entered the third wave of the Corona epidemic, indicating that the number of Corona injuries has risen to more than 400%, according to figures in the last week.

Balawi explained that what the Kingdom is witnessing now is the first stage of the third wave, indicating that the main reason is the entry into the autumn and winter seasons, which are the times of virus activity, in addition to the dominant mutator being the Indian Delta, which is the most prevalent.

He pointed out that the vaccination campaign must be reprogrammed to all citizens again, so that the third dose will be given to everyone who received the two doses.

He added that the home quarantine should be taken into account, calling for an increase in the number of teams that follow up on active cases, in addition to reopening sectors, including schools and universities.

He pointed out that celebrations, weddings, and mourning homes must be canceled at this time, and indicated the possibility of returning to distance education in the event that the cases of corona infection increased to more than that.

In addition, the head of the National Center for Epidemic Control, Dr. Raeda Al-Qutb, pointed out that the rise in Corona injuries is gradual, but we must be wary of it, especially since infections have become at the level of governorates and for all groups.

She stressed that these indicators prompt the recommendation to take more strict measures, at a time when citizens fear the return of curfews and closures.
