Arab Weather - The latest outputs of the numerical models in "Arab Weather" indicate that parts of North Africa and the Maghreb countries will continue to be affected by a strong atmospheric disturbance accompanied by a tropical moisture flow that creates unstable weather conditions, coinciding with the formation of strong thunderstorm clouds in parts of Morocco and Algeria.
Weather forecasters at "Arab Weather" said that the tropical condition has been ongoing for days in the Maghreb countries, especially parts of Morocco, Algeria and parts of western Libya, where several states in Morocco and Algeria witnessed local, very heavy rains accompanied by hail and thunderstorms, which led to the formation of floods in some areas.
Early warning and extreme weather maps indicate that parts of southern and southeastern Morocco, western Algeria, the Moroccan-Algerian border, and some northern regions of Algeria are likely to be exposed to extreme weather conditions represented by the formation of high-altitude tropical cumulonimbus clouds. These clouds are expected to be accompanied by heavy rains this evening, tonight, and during the day tomorrow, Sunday.
We, at Arab Weather, point out the high probability of severe thunderstorms in these areas, accompanied by very heavy showers of rain, which are accompanied by hail, which are sometimes large in size, in addition to strong winds resulting from descending winds during the formation of thunderclouds.
