Arab Weather - Migratory birds that witnessed the sky of Mafraq governorate today, Sunday, caused an electrical outage in the Sarhan district, which led to the failure of the water pumping wells that supply Al-Sarhan district and Qasba Al-Mafraq with water, according to Dr. Basil Basbous, director of Mafraq Water Department.

Wild birds are the first victims of climate change in the Arab Mashreq

He added that the work of the wells was stopped until the electrical current was stabilized, given that the separation is frequent every half an hour, noting that this situation affects the well pumps and causes them to damage, which will negatively affect them if they are turned on under the fluctuation of the electric current.

And he indicated that coordination and communication will be made with the Irbid Electricity Company to repair the electrical failure as soon as possible, stressing that water well pumps will be restarted in the event that the electrical current returns to normal.
