Arab Weather - Weather experts at the Arab Weather Regional Center said that the latest processed computer outputs indicate that southwestern Europe will be affected by a very cold air mass in the upper atmosphere during the coming days, with the formation of a low-pressure system accompanied by a cold and rainy air front, and the opportunity will be available for the first snowfalls on the peaks of the Alps, specifically the summit of Mont Blanc.
In detail, a cold air mass is rushing from the North Atlantic Ocean towards the south, and due to the presence of strong highs, the cold air mass separates from the general circulation of the jet stream and the weather system becomes a closed section. With the movement of the weather systems, the very cold air mass affects southwestern Europe, specifically northern Spain, northern Portugal and France, where a low air pressure is formed accompanied by a cold air front that will remain over the water surface for the coming days and affect the aforementioned countries.
As a result, temperatures drop significantly, especially at night, to be below 8 degrees Celsius, and the weather becomes remarkably cold at night. Heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms and hail fall in many areas, which may cause floods and a rise in water levels.
The weather forecast also suggests the first snowfall of the season on the Alpine peaks, with a particular focus on Mont Blanc, which is more than 4,000 metres above sea level. The region is expected to be affected by a significant drop in temperatures, creating conditions for snowfall at higher altitudes. Mont Blanc could see snow accumulations over the next few days.
God knows best.
