An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale hits the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, southern Greece

Weather of Arabia - Greek media announced that an earthquake of 5.3 degrees on the Richter scale struck the coast of the Mediterranean in southern Greece.

According to what was published by the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center, an earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale struck Greece this evening, Tuesday, at a depth of 5 km, south of the city of Jothiou, and that the earthquake was near the Mediterranean region.

Today, Tuesday, the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority announced that an earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale struck the city of Kahramanmaraş.

The earth's crust is exposed to major earthquakes these days, the strongest of which was the Kahramanmaraş earthquake, which struck southern Turkey and parts of Syria, killing more than 50,000 people in both countries, injuring thousands and destroying hundreds of homes.
