In its statement, the directorate stated that the quake occurred near the village of Aleggir, Nizhnyudinsky district of Irkutsk region in Siberia.

The statement added: "Earthquakes were recorded in the Nizhnyudinsky district of Irkutsk province, and the epicenter of the tremors occurred 21 km from the village of Alijger, and the magnitude of the tremors reached 6.3 degrees at the epicenter."

 

The European Seismological Center also indicated that the magnitude of the earthquake that struck Irkutsk Province this morning, 323 km from Kansk, amounted to 4.7 degrees, and the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km.

 

 

The Directorate of Emergency Situations in the region confirmed that these earthquakes did not cause any injuries and did not result in any material damage, and all infrastructure facilities are operating normally in that region.
