ArabiaWeather.com- The Emirati student, Mona Ahmed Al Balushi, was able to invent a vehicle alarm device whose mission is to protect children inside from the danger of suffocation.

The device turns on the car's air conditioner and lowers the glass by 15 centimeters, to allow air to enter the car, so that the child does not suffer suffocation or shock, according to "Emirates Today" newspaper.

Al-Balooshi, a student in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Higher Colleges of Technology, stated that her innovation won great praise from the audience and the jury in the "Innovator" competition.

She indicated that the idea of this project came after the death of a kindergarten student in a school bus after she was forgotten, and the device works using infrared sensors.

The device works as soon as the sensors detect any movement in the car, after the engine and doors are closed, the device works directly, and sounds a loud alarm, accompanied by lighting the front and rear car lights, which sends a signal to the car air conditioner to start working directly.

It also works to lower the windows by a distance of no more than 15 centimeters to let the air in to the child, and not make him feel that he is trapped, and the distance does not allow him to jump out of the window, in order to preserve his safety.

Al-Balooshi is currently working on developing the device, which includes smart services and sending a recorded message to the police and civil defense informing them of the presence of a child locked inside a car, and locating the car by linking the device to Google Maps, in addition to sending messages to the owners of the car, alerting them that One of the children in the car.
