Weather of Arabia - America's chief infectious disease expert, Anthony Fauci, confirmed that so far, there does not seem to be a significant degree of risk about Omicron, as initial indications indicate that it may be less dangerous than Delta.
Fauci said in an interview with CNN: "So far, it does not appear that the "Omicron" mutant carries a very dangerous course of the disease, and it is too early to draw any specific conclusions."
He added, "The United States hopes to lift the travel ban imposed on South African countries due to the spread of the new mutated coronavirus in a reasonable time frame."
He continued, "This ban was introduced when we didn't know anything and didn't understand what was happening, and we only saw a sharp jump in cases in South Africa, so the ban should have given us time to understand what was happening."
He explained, "We receive more and more information about cases of the "Omicron" mutant in our country and abroad, and we analyze it accurately on a daily basis."
And the first case of the “Omicron” mutant of the Corona virus was recorded in the United States in California, when the patient returned from a trip to South Africa on the 22nd of last November.
For its part, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention confirmed that "the patient received a full vaccination against the Corona virus, and that he has mild symptoms of the disease."
