Weather in Arabia - The head of the Glass Boats Association, Ahmed Obaid Yassin, said that the storm that swept through Aqaba today, Friday, destroyed 4 glass boats completely by high waves, strong winds and partial damage to 12 other boats.

Yassin added that some of the boats capsized inside the marina due to the intensity of the waves and the strength of the wind.

Yassin demanded to compensate the fishermen and the owners of glass boats for their losses, since their boats are the only source of livelihood similar to the owners of cafes on the beach who were compensated after the right to whom they were previously subjected to losses.

For his part, Honorary President of the Fishermen's Association Mohamed Al-Maghrabi said that some fishing boats were badly affected by the waves and storms, indicating that the time was not in the interest of the fishermen to secure their boats in the marina.
